Options for returning knitters to learn herringbone\, chevron\, knit/pearl stitches. \n \nChunky knit blankets are all the rage lately and you’ll be surprised how easy they are to make! The hand knitting technique is a life long skill that is therapeutic\, meditative and fun. \n \nNEW: You may now choose your yarn amount! Are you coming just to learn the technique and only want one skein to practice on? We’ve got you! For blanket making\, please view the photo below to see a rough estimate of what a blanket using 4 skeins (standard) looks like\, 5 skeins\, 6 skeins…etc. DISCLAIMER: Final blanket dimensions vary based on each individual’s knitting gauge (ie.\, if you knit tight\, your blanket will be smaller and more compact than someone who knits looser). \n \nTable space diminishes as blankets get larger. You are welcome to bring a small pillow or yoga mat to sit on\, should you choose to move to the floor for more space as your blanket gets taller. \n \nBags will not be provided. DESCRIPTION:Black’s Creek will be on site with their delicious bbq offerings! \nBlack’s Creek BBQ was established in 2022 but has been in the works for a lifetime. Lorenzo grew up celebrating holidays\, family gatherings and BBQing on the smoker with friends and family. Lorenzo was asked to help out last year when a food truck had canceled at a local event in Quincy and the rest is history in the making. After that event\, and after securing all permits\, licensing\, and insurance Lorenzo began setting up at Black’s Creek in Quincy.  \nFrom there the demand has grown and you can find Lorenzo and his wife\, Jaclyn set up at different locations in Quincy and local food truck events. Lorenzo was asked to help out last year when a food truck had canceled at a local event in Quincy and the rest is history in the making. After that event\, and after securing all permits\, licensing\, and insurance Lorenzo began setting up at Black’s Creek in Quincy.  \nFrom there the demand has grown and you can find Lorenzo and his wife\, Jaclyn set up at different locations in Quincy and local food truck events. Whether you’re a stationery nerd\, DIY Bride-to-be\, or just a crafty individual\, in this workshop you’ll be learning an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to all your spooky spreads – think lettered pumpkins at your front door\, on your bar cart\, as a Halloween party hostess gift or special occasion gift! \nClass includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration\, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs\, black ink pot\, 2 letter guides\, tracing paper and straight pen holder)\, and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!
