Every great coastal town has its legends, and at Break Rock Brewing, we’re bringing those tales to life—one pour at a time. Sea Stories is our new rotating New England IPA series, a collection of hop-forward brews inspired by the mystery and might of the sea. Each chapter in this evolving series tells a new story, with flavors as deep and complex as the waters that surround us.
The artwork on each can sets the stage: a vintage depiction of a towering sailboat, locked in battle with the monstrous grip of a kraken. It’s a fitting image for Quincy, MA—where shipbuilding history meets the unpredictable forces of the Atlantic. Just as sailors once traded stories of the unknown, we’re crafting beers that capture that same sense of adventure. No two chapters will be the same, and as each release unfolds, you’ll find new hop combinations, bold flavors, and a narrative that keeps you coming back for more.
Chapter 1 sets sail on draft in the taproom on Wednesday, February 26th, with 4-pack cans available to go starting Thursday, February 27th. So, raise a glass, embrace the unknown, and get ready to lose yourself in the next chapter of Sea Stories.

Art: Sea Stories Rotating New England IPA Series
Style: NEIPA, 6.5% ABV
The first installment of our new rotating NEIPA series, Sea Stories, sets sail with a bold and flavorful journey. Chapter 1 is brewed with a smooth base of 2-row, oats, and wheat, then fermented with Ponoma yeast to enhance its depth and character. Hopped with Wakatu, Rakau, and Sultana, this hazy IPA bursts with notes of ripe peach, bright citrus, and juicy tropical fruit. Each chapter in this series will unveil a new hop profile and flavor story—so dive in and enjoy the first taste of the adventure.
