BEER RELEASE: ABIGAIL ADAMS AMBER ALE

Brewed in collaboration with Tod Mott, then head brewer and co-owner of the former Quincy Ships Brewing Company and now owner of Tributary Brewing Company, this beer resurrects a piece of Quincy brewing history.

The original version earned a Gold Medal at the 2001 Great American Beer Festival, cementing its place in the story of New England craft brewing. More than two decades later, we had the opportunity to brew it again—this time at Quincy’s newest and currently only craft brewery.

Medium-bodied with a touch of malt sweetness up front, this beer delivers notes of caramel and raisins before giving way to an earthy, approachable hop bitterness. The result is a beautifully balanced beer that reflects the character of its era while remaining remarkably drinkable today.

For us, this collaboration is about more than recreating a great beer. It represents a passing of the mash paddle from one generation of Quincy brewing to the next, with Tod bringing the history and Break Rock carrying it forward.
