Brewed in collaboration with @samadamsbostontaproom @samueladamsbeer , this light ale was steeped with Birch leaves and rye and fermented with 2 lbs of fresh black currants and a unique yeast strain from Lithuania. This easy drinking golden ale bursts with natural flavors of passionfruit, orange, guava and slight tart black currant, balanced with a clean, subtle earthiness. Iki Dugno! Bottoms Up! Why birch and black currants? Black currants grow abundantly across the country of Lithuania. It is illegal to transport them into the United States as currants are known to choke out Birch trees. There is only one place they DO harmoniously grow together – Lithuania. Our Head Brewer is proud of her heritage so she used these two in the beer to showcase that harmony!
