PUBLIC & GUEST POLICIES
IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY/INJURY
Please exit the building in a calm and orderly fashion using any means of egress marked “exit”. Please follow the instructions of first responders and staff. If you or a guest has been injured at Break Rock, please note that staff have been trained to only provide basic comfort and assistance, and to call 911. Staff cannot treat you, move you, or offer medicine.
PARKING
Guests Park at their own risk. Please visit our hours & directions page for additional parking information. Break Rock is not responsible for towing, ticketing, or damage to your vehicle during your visit.
FIREARMS & WEAPONS
No firearms or weapons are allowed inside Break Rock or on our patio at any time.
SMOKING & VAPING
No smoking/vaping is allowed inside Break Rock or on our patio, at any time.
RESTROOM USE
The restrooms are for staff & guest use only. Restrooms are not to be used by the general public. We ask that guests treat our bathrooms with respect. Do not put tobacco pouches in the sinks or urinals. Do not flush feminine hygiene products down the toilet.
LOST & FOUND
Items left at Break Rock will be kept for thirty days before being discarded or donated. If you believe you left something behind, please contact us at [email protected] or 617.481.0019.
NO SOLICITATION / NO SALES CALLS: Break Rock guests are not to be bothered by other guests in an attempt to promote their product or company. If you are deemed to be soliciting in our taproom, you will be asked to leave. If you are interested in setting up a tabling event, please email [email protected]. Outside sales reps must email [email protected] to set up an appointment.
PATIO USE / DRINKING OUTSIDE
Our patio is seasonal. It is to be used for Break Rock guests only. Alcohol cannot be enjoyed anywhere outside of the perimeter of the patio. If your feet are outside the ropes, you cannot have a drink. Drinking in the “park” in front of Break Rock is not allowed. This is policed by the state and the City of Quincy. If you are caught drinking on the boardwalk or outside of the patio area, you will be warned. If you have to be warned a second time, you will be asked to leave.
There is no smoking/vaping at any on the patio. Dogs are allowed on the patio as long as they follow our dog policy and do not block service corridors.
OUTSIDE ALCOHOL
No outside alcohol is permitted at Break Rock Brewing. If the alcohol is not sold by us, it is not allowed in our building. This is a state law, and violating it can result in us losing our serving license. If you are found in violation of this policy, you will be given two options: 1) Leave, or 2) Give the alcohol to staff, check in at the bar when you leave, and it will be returned. If you are warned and caught again, you will be asked to leave.
PET POLICY
Leashed, licensed, and responsible dogs are welcome in the taproom. They must be leashed and attended to at all times. Understand that if your dog is a nuisance (barking, jumping, etc.) in any way to our customers, staff, vendors, musicians, etc., you may be asked to leave. Please be considerate. Keep your dog, its tail, and its leash out of the main points of passage. By entering the brewery and taproom with a pet, the guest assumes all liability and responsibility for the animal. No other pets or animals aside from qualified dogs are allowed in the taproom.
KIDS/MINORS AT BREAK ROCK
Well-behaved children & minors are welcome in the taproom EXCEPT for: Friday and Saturday after 7 PM when our taproom is 21+ only. Please attend to your child/minor at all times. If they are not supervised, you will be reminded to do so. If we have to ask again, you will be asked to leave. By entering the brewery and taproom with your child, you assume all liability and risk regarding the child being at Break Rock Brewing. Changing tables are located in both the men’s and women’s bathrooms. We do not have highchairs on site. Please keep strollers out of service ways and entries/exits.
Specific to accessing the games in the game room during private parties, children not associated with an event are not allowed to access the games while a private function is being held.
Adults are responsible for cleaning up after their children.
Any minor caught drinking in the taproom or attempting to use a fake ID is banned from Break Rock Brewing, and the authorities may be contacted to handle the situation.
ALLERGEN / DIET INFORMATION
If we utilize allergens in our product, it will be noted on the menu. Common questions and answers regarding diet and allergies:
Is your beer vegan? Yes, unless otherwise stated on the menu. We use whirlfloc as a fining agent, which does not contain animal bladders like another widely used fining agent – gelatine. Whirfloc is seaweed-based.
Do you offer gluten-free alcoholic beverages? Our beer is not gluten-free, as we use malted barley/grain as a base. However, our seltzer-based products are gluten-free unless otherwise noted.
I am lactose intolerant. Do you use lactose in your products? On rare occasions. See menu for disclosure.
How many calories are in one of your seltzers? It varies, but typically 100-150 on average.
How many calories are in one of your beers? It varies. Anywhere from 110 – 450 calories on average.
TAXES / DUAL PRICING
Our menu prices are listed as cash prices, including any associated taxes. Dual Pricing is a way to offer guests multiple options for payment, including a discount if they pay with cash. Is dual pricing legal in Massachusetts? Yes. We have a fee-free ATM on site. We encourage guests to utilize this cash option to save themselves some money!
GUEST TAB POLICIES
To open a tab, you must provide a credit card. No cash tabs are allowed. A 20% gratuity is applied automatically to all open tabs left abandoned at the end of a shift

DO YOU RENT YOUR SPACE FOR PRIVATE EVENTS?

DO YOU SERVE FOOD?
We offer light snacks – nuts, chips, etc. We have local food vendors pop up in the taproom on most weekends. Check out our event calendar to confirm. Boardwalk Pizza, Marina Bay Market, Victory Point, Port 305/Siros, Waterclub, ReelHouse, and more are within a stone’s throw for pickup. Guests are also welcome to order from any area restaurant or bring outside food in. Break Rock does not provide cutlery, plateware, or napkins – plan accordingly. We also respectfully request that you carry in/carry out when possible.
DO YOU OFFER WATER FOR GUESTS? DOGS?
Yes. We have a water cooler in the hallway to the bathrooms – help yourself. Also, we sell bottled water at the bar. Looking for water for your pub? See the bar, we have loaner dog bowls. They work better then a cup on the ground!
DO YOU HAVE AN OUTDOOR AREA?
Yes. We have a seasonal outdoor patio area. Alcohol must stay within the confines of the patio borders at all times.
DO YOU ACCEPT RESERVATIONS?

CAN I PURCHASE BEER TO GO?
Yes, we sell cans to go in our taproom. We do not offer shipping for beer/seltzer. We do not offer curbside pickup.
CAN I BUY YOUR MERCH ONLINE?

DO YOU HAVE FREE PUBLIC WIFI?
Yes. You will find the password in our tabletop flip signs. Or, simply ask a staff member.
DO YOU SERVE OR SELL ANY GLUTEN-FREE, NON-ALCOHOLIC BEERS, OR SOFT DRINKS?
We sell non-alcoholic beer, mocktails, soda, seltzer, juice, and water. Our seltzers are gluten-free unless otherwise advertised on the menu. Our Hard Cider is also gluten-free unless otherwise noted.
DO YOU SELL WINE, CIDER, SPIRITS, OR OTHER ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES?
We sell beer, several wine varieties, hard cider, hard seltzer, cocktail hard seltzers, and seasonal slushies (limited). Any alcohol not sold by Break Rock is not allowed on the premises by law. We do not sell spirits, per Massachusetts law.

Arcade games: We have a Big Buck Hunter machine, a Skee-Ball machine, & a Hoops machine. If a private party has booked the game room, we ask that you please refrain from using the games in the game room until the party has ended.
IS THERE AN ATM ON SITE OR NEARBY?
We have an ATM on-site in our taproom. There is also an ATM located next door inside Marina Bay Market.
DO YOU TAKE APPLE PAY, GOOGLE PAY, OR TAP TO PAY?
Yes – we take tap to pay options at the register.
DO YOU FILL GROWLERS?
No, we do not fill any growlers.
DO YOU OFFER BREWERY TOURS?
No. Guests are not permitted into the production area at any time.
